Board of Directors

Who We Are

The GSC Board of Directors is composed of GSC community members not concurrently employed by the center. Any eligible person may apply to be on the board and will be considered, but preference is given to individuals recommended by GSC staff members. The board elects new members at least once annually, in October. Member terms are two years.

 

What We Do

Our primary mission is to ensure that GSC is providing high-quality childcare and education now and continues to do so in the future. We value GSC community input in the pursuit of our goals and encourage families and staff to share their ideas and suggestions with us. Board work is divided among committees that meet during months without full board meetings. Committees bring updates and matters requiring board attention to meetings of the full board, which occur on the fourth Wednesday of every other month. Full board meeting agendas and minutes are available to GSC community members upon request.
